Meet The Team

Chris Carter | Founder & Lead Drone Pilot

Chris is the founder and lead drone pilot of Space Coast Drone Pet Recovery, combining elite military experience with advanced drone technology to deliver professional, results-driven search and rescue operations.

A retired U.S. Army Infantryman, Chris served in the 75th Ranger Regiment as a sniper, where he developed the precision, discipline, and situational awareness that now define his work in the field. Today, he is an FAA Part 107 licensed and insured pilot, operating advanced thermal drones including the Matrice 4T and Matrice 4TD.

Chris is currently completing his Master’s degree in Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (graduating May 2026), further strengthening his expertise in mission planning and drone operations.

His passion for pet recovery is deeply personal. After losing a beloved cat and not knowing that thermal drone technology could have helped early on, Chris made it his mission to ensure other families have access to the tools and expertise he once didn’t.

He approaches every search with urgency, professionalism, and a relentless commitment to bringing pets home.
